Originally purchased as a Xmas gift for our daughter, she seldom used it, so I adopted it. The USB 2 connection is fast and efficient. The software and user interface provide for scanning photos, slides, other documents, and easy document copies. Scanning resolution up to 3200 DPI. This $69 device replaced my 10 year old $1,000 HP Scanjet 4C.

I find that the scanning quality is much better than my old 4C. The slide adapter is basic, but I've been very successful using it. The user interface is more intuitive, with many functions easily accomplished clicking a single icon or pressing a button on the front of the scanner.
