This is a very handy cataloging and database tool for photographic images. I use it primarily to catalog my ever growing volumes of pictures. It produces highly configurable contact sheets that I combine with CDROM storage to move my images off my computer on to more permanent storage.

I create a CDROM, then use ThumbsPlus to catalog and print contact sheets of each CDROM's contents by folder. I store the CDROMs and contact sheets together in binders, where I can quickly, visually find images I'm interested in. The software's database creates and stores thumbnails of all images it catalogs, remembering the drive, removable volume name, and directories of the images. The thumbnails of images stored on CDROMs can be viewed without installing the CDROM.

The software also prints and edits images and contains a batch scripting language that can be used to execute the same set of changes to multiple images. For example, open and resize images to be used on a web site.
